It is officially game week, and Michigan State football is gearing up for their season opener against Toledo. The game with the Rockets will be the official start to the Pat Fitzgerald era in East Lansing.
While Fitzgerald, and a handful of other coaches will be experiencing Spartan Stadium for the first time, the Spartans quarterback Alessio Milivojevic will be making his return as the leader of the Michigan State offense. Milivojevic took over the starting job halfway through last season and was named the starter going into this offseason, giving him a full year to prep for this season.
On Tuesday, Milivojevic spoke to the media about week one and what his expectations are for the game and the team around him. See what the Spartan leader had

- "The experience gives you confidence. Nothing is like a true, live game."
- "The desire to get out there, we're excited to go out there and hit someone other than our own team."
- "I'm happy with him on the sideline, getting to talk to him."
- "I feel very confident and comfortable in the offense. Knowing the command, the feel of the offense."
- "I truly do (think the receiver room goes 6, 7 deep). The depth will let us have multiple, multiple personnels."
