A priority quarterback target in the 2028 class has reportedly decided to visit one of the Spartans' rivals this weekend instead of be at Michigan State.
Brayden Tillman of Traverse City, Mich. will reportedly not visit Michigan State this weekend as he originally planned, and instead visit rival Michigan -- who is on a bye. This report came from On3 / Rivals insider Allen Trieu.
Tillman is a four-star quarterback prospect in the 2028 class, and arguably the top quarterback from Michigan in the class. He ranks as the No. 22 quarterback and No. 328 overall prospect in 247Sports' composite rankings for the 2028 class. Additionally, he's ranked as the No. 8 player from Michigan in the class.
Michigan State extended an offer to Tillman in June and
has appeared to be a key target for the Spartans ever since. According to 247Sports, he also holds notable offers from Cincinnati, Wisconsin, Purdue and Florida State. Michigan has not yet extended him an offer but don't be surprised if that comes after his visit this weekend.
If Michigan enters the mix for Tillman, that'll make things even more interesting for this prized in-state quarterback prospect. We will certainly need to monitor this recruitment moving forward to see if it becomes a Spartans vs. Wolverines battle.
Tillman has replaced his scheduled MSU visit this weekend for a trip to Ann Arbor.. https://t.co/0uY0sx6pA7
