Sunday was the final day for NFL teams to make decisions on their rosters, with teams needing to get their roster sizes down to 53-players. With the Las Vegas Raiders, three former Michigan State stars have secured their spot on the active roster.
Quarterback Kirk Cousins, fullback Connor Heyward and wide receiver Jalen Nailor have all made the 53-man roster for the Raiders. All three also are in line to be starters with the Raiders this season, including Cousins, who is expected to start over No. 1 overall pick Fernando Mendoza.
Heyward and Nailor were both members of the 2022 NFL Draft class, and spent the first four seasons of their NFL careers with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Minnesota Vikings, respectively, before signing with the Raiders
this offseason.
With new head coach Klint Kubiak taking over the Raiders, the Spartans have a string influence on the success the franchise can have in their new regime.
