It is roster cut down day in the National Football League and teams needed to get their rosters down to 53 players on Sunday. One former Spartan got the confirmation that he has made the Baltimore Ravens roster.
Ryan Eckley will be the lone punter for the Ravens this season. After dominating as a punter at Michigan State from 2022-2025, he was drafted in the sixth round by the Ravens in the 2026 NFL Draft. While getting drafted made his odds of getting a roster spot go up, he still needed to earn the spot in camp, and he did just that for Baltimore.
Eckley will come into his rookie season 2026 and look to take over from where he ended his Michigan State career, which included winning the 2025 Big Ten Punter of the Year award, while being a member
of the All-Big Ten teams for three straight years from 2023-25.
