Michigan State football has gotten a boost this season with the return of offensive lineman Luka Vincic, who has served in a reserve role at guard, but had played the part very well every time he has entered the game. He has graded out as a 62.1 on PFF this season, and played 50 snaps against Nebraska this past week. Needless to say, he has performed in his return from a serious knee injury, and will be relied upon going forward this season.
Ahead of the Spartans game with Wisconsin, Vincic spoke to the media about his recovery and how he feels this season:
- "Getting to finally be out there and be with the guys, it's been awesome."
- "There was a real possibility" that some of the timelines he was provided had him out this year.
- "I knew from Matt Gulbin what to expect from Coach Tabacca. I heard nothing but good things,"
- "I told him (Cam Edwards) if he ever needed anything, reach out to me. He has the right mentality"
- "It feels great to have it behind and move forward. It was a great feeling getting off the training board"
