Michigan State University has found its man. This week, it came out that the Spartans were hiring former Western Michigan Director of Athletics to assume that same role for MSU, a role that was previously occupied by J Batt. On Wednesday, the Spartans introduced Bartholomae with all the pomp and circumstance you'd expect to come with such a major hire.
Bartholomae was introduced by University President Kevin Guskiewicz who seemed to be pretty fired up about the hire. Bartholomae started his press conference by thanking the band and the spirit squad, which was a cool way to start. Bartholomae was noticeably excited about the opportunity in the session.
