One notable Spartans insider and reporter believes Michigan State football will return to a bowl game this season.
Justin Thind of 247Sports has released his game-by-game predictions for the Spartans' upcoming season, with Thind predicting Michigan State will reach bowl eligibility. Thind has the Spartans going 6-6 in year one under head coach Pat Fitzgerald, with a notable upset win late in the season to help propel them to their first bowl game in five years.
Michigan State football held its first practice of the season on Thursday, and will officially open the season on September 4 against Toledo. Michigan State went 4-8 last year, and haven't finished with a winning record since 2021.
I will be working on and releasing my personal game-by-game
predictions in the coming weeks as we approach the opener. I will say, though, that I find my initial review of the season very much lining up with what Thind is predicting as well.
