Michigan State football improved to 2-0 on the season this past weekend but still remains well outside the top 25 in the latest coaches poll.
The US LBM Coaches Poll Top 25 rankings were released on Sunday, with Michigan State not included in the mix. The Spartans
failed to receive a single vote in this week's poll, which isn't surprising given the fact that they haven't received a vote yet this year.The Spartans picked up a solid victory over Eastern Michigan this past weekend to improve to 2-0 on the year. Next up for Michigan State is a tough matchup against No. 3 Notre Dame on Saturday night. Kickoff from Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind. is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET.
Along with this week's matchup against Notre Dame, the Spartans have
three more upcoming games this season against team's included in this week's poll: Oregon (No. 18), Michigan (No. 19) and Washington (No. 24). The highest ranked Big Ten team in this week's poll is Ohio State -- who fell to No. 6 following a loss at Texas.
