Michigan State football has lost there third consecutive game, 31-3 to the Wisconsin Badgers, and the Spartans now sit at 2-3 and 0-2 in Big Ten action.
While offensively, the Spartans could not muster anything efficiently, and only scored three points on the day, the defense also did not have much to write home about. The unit gave up 373 yards, including 228 on the ground, while not recording a sack for the second straight week.
After looking at the film, and evaluating the game, Pro Football Focus (Subscription Required) gave out their grades for the Spartans in the game.
Check out who PFF ranked as the top five defenders (minimum five snaps) from the Spartans game with the Badgers:
- LB Dion Crawford - 79.6
- LB Caleb Wheatland - 71.9
- CB Charles Brantley - 70.1
- S Devin Vaught - 65.1
- DE Keahnist Thompson - 65.0
Despite some injuries, Michigan State's linebackers came ready
to play in this one. With the cornerback room being depleted, Brantley was forced into a CB1 role, and he turned out his best performance of the season.
