Michigan State hockey is entering Adam Nightingale's fifth season as head coach of the Spartan hockey program. The Spartans are coming off of their third straight Big Ten championship and are eyeing their fourth.
The Spartans have a star-studded team in 2026-27, once again, and are looking to overcome the wall to the Frozen Four that has hindered the team for the last three seasons. If that will be the case, the Spartans coaching staff will have to find some different magic this season.
Ahead of the season starting, Nightingale spoke to the media for the first time, where he previewed his Spartan team and what he sees the need for the team to go in the coming weeks:
