Michigan State football has extended an offer to an elite-level cornerback prospect from Illinois.
Logan Thompson of Belleville, Ill. announced on Monday that he's picked up an offer from the Spartans. Thompson posted about his offer on social media on Monday evening.
Thompson is listed as a high-end four-star prospect, with a recruiting rating of 97.95 in 247Sports' composite system. He ranks as the No. 6 cornerback and No. 43 overall prospect in 247Sports' rankings for the 2028 class.
Michigan State joins a long list of schools to already extend an offer to the junior cornerback prospect. According to 247Sports, he also holds notable offers from Alabama, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kentucky, LSU, Louisville,
Miami (FL), Michigan, Missouri, Ole Miss, Purdue, Tennessee, Vanderbilt, Wisconsin, Northwestern and Notre Dame.
