After reeling in the highest ranked recruting class in Washington Huskies history, two members were named to On3's True Freshman All-America team on Tuesday morning.
The outlet announced its 22-man roster consisting of the best freshmen in the nation heading into the regular season. Listed along the offensive line was former five-star recruit Kodi Greene, who flipped from Oregon to Washington in April, and cornerback Jeron Jones, after the former four-star burst onto the scene during spring and fall camp.
The pair of blue-chip recruits came from the California high school ranks. After playing his first two years in his hometown of Sammamish, Washington, at Eastside Catholic, Greene transferred to powerhouse Mater Dei, where he became the No. 3
prospect in the state of California according to 247Sports, while Jones played his ball just down the road at Mission Viejo, finishing as the No. 37-ranked corner in the nation.

Since enrolling at UW in the spring, the pair of freshmen wasted no time making their presence felt on each side of the ball. For the 6-foot-6, 315-pound Greene, he displayed his dynamic size and athleticism that few freshman linemen possess, as the Washington native proved that he's ready to compete against Big Ten defenses right away.
On the other side of the ball, Jones took full advantage of his opportunity during fall camp. With sophomore Dylan Robinson and Virginia transfer Emmanuel Karnley limited due to injury, the freshman answered the bell against the first-team offense during live team periods.
With little experienced depth heading into the preseason, the ball-hawk has asserted himself as a key piece of the rotation in the secondary, as his rapid development has been one of the highlights of defensive coordinator Ryan Walters' unit during fall camp.
As Jedd Fisch continues to showcase his ability to pull some of the top talent out of California, the fruits of his labor could come to fruition quickly in 2026.
