Even on a day when the Wisconsin Badgers suffered a 30-0 loss to the Iowa Hawkeyes, coach Luke Fickell's team was still able to flip four-star wide receiver Dontay Tyson away from Jedd Fisch and the Washington Huskies' 2027 class on Saturday afternoon.
The 6-foot-1, 190-pound product of Peoria High School in Arizona had been committed to Washington since early June after choosing the Huskies over Texas A&M following his official visit to Montlake on May 29.
A big-bodied receiver with good speed and strength on the outside, Tyson represented a concerted effort by Fisch and wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings to add more size to the room. However, now he'll take his talents to Madison alongside another four-star receiver from The Grand Canyon State,
four-star Jai Jones.

"He really excels on go routes and wide receiver screens and has home run-hitting ability," former 247Sports analyst Greg Biggins wrote in an evaluation of Tyson.
"He’s strong in the air with excellent body control and routinely wins 50-50 jump balls. He uses his body well to shield smaller defensive backs and is tough to bring down in the open field. He has strong hands as well and catches the ball through contact."
The Huskies still have three other wide receivers committed in the 2027 class: four-stars Tre Moore and Braylon Pope, and three-star Zerek Sidney.
