The Washington Huskies women's basketball team bolstered its 2026-27 schedule Tuesday by accepting an invitation to participate in the 2026 Coconut Hoops tournament.
Sixth-year coach Tina Langley will face off with Oklahoma State and three-time First Team All-Big 12 selection Audi Crooks on November 27 and the University of Massachusetts at Amherst on November 29 in the Blue Heron Division of the tournament. Seven teams are scheduled to participate in the 14th annual event held on the campus of Florida Gulf Coast University at Alico Arena.
UW and Oklahoma State have met on the hardwood three times, and the last meeting came on Nov. 29, 2003, an 89-65 victory for the Huskies at home under then-coach June Daugherty. The two have never faced off
in a neutral-site game before this.
After facing Crooks, the reigning Coconut Hoops MVP who led Iowa State to a pair of victories against Marquette and Indiana in last year's event, the Huskies will face UMass in the first-ever meeting between the two schools.

In fact, the Minutewomen have only faced a team from the Evergreen State once: a 2023 matchup with Washington State, which the Cougars won 90-48. UMass is coming off a successful 23-7 season going into coach Mike Leflar's fourth season at the helm, making it a uniquely tough non-conference matchup for Langley and the Huskies before the team returns home to host USC on December 5.
UW opens Langley's sixth season in Seattle on Nov. 2 against UC San Diego, the first of three home games at Alaska Airlines Arena to begin the 2026-27 campaign. Pacific University on Nov. 5 and Cal State Bakersfield on Nov. 12 travel to the Emerald City before the team travels across the state to face Washington State in Pullman on Nov. 17.
The Huskies return to host another former Pac-12 Conference foe, with Stanford coming to town on Nov. 20. Before the trip to Fort Myers, Florida, UW will also match up with Cal Poly on Nov. 22.
Langley's team concludes the non-conference slate with Southern (Dec. 10), Northern Colorado (Dec. 12), Santa Clara (Dec. 17), and Portland State (Dec.20) before heading fully into Big Ten play at Nebraska (Dec. 29).
