Former Washington Huskies outfielder Jadelyn Allchin helped the Utah Talons capture their second straight Athletes Unlimited Softball League Championship on Saturday afternoon with a 6-1 win over the Chicago Bandits to complete a two-game sweep in the series.
After going 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in the first inning and a double in the fourth, 3 runs batted in, and a run scored on Sunday, Allchin was voted as the AUSL Championship MVP by league personnel and the media.
“I don’t think I ever left the Talons, which is my favorite feeling,” Allchin said after the game. “Even though I was a reserve last year, I was able to celebrate with them on the field, but being on the other side this year…it was all props to them. They still had the same
belief in me.”

During the regular season, the All-AUSL Team honoree posted a .342 batting average and 1.018 OPS on a career-high 26 hits, 19 runs scored, 17 runs batted in, 6 doubles, and 4 home runs, with 5 walks and 4 stolen bases in a stellar season after she was part of the team's reserve pool in 2025 before taking a huge step forward this summer.
Then, ahead of the 2026 season, the Talons selected her in the second round of the AUSL Allocation draft in January to keep her in the organization, a move that paid off in a big way for both sides.
“It’s kind of shifted in perspective of this is now a team where I’m concreted in,” Allchin told the AUSL's Savannah Collins in January. “I can put my heart and soul into it. I’m really glad that I got the opportunity to be with the team from the start, to see how their culture was created, and to know that I was somewhat a part of it.”
