With linebacker Frankie Luvu expected to miss Sunday’s game again, the Commanders made a roster move Saturday.
Luvu injured his groin in the season opener against the Eagles and missed the Week 2 contest in Dallas. Luvu’s groin injury is bad enough that he couldn’t practice all week. Consequently, the Commanders have again elevated linebacker Ale Kaho as they did last week..

The Commanders had five injured players who couldn’t practice all week. QB Jayden Daniels, Luvu, TE Chig Okonkwo, S Nick Cross, and G Sam Cosmi were kept out of on-field work all week. Daniels dislocated his left elbow, Nick Cross suffered an internal injury and was hospitalized for an overnight stay in the
Dallas area, and Cosmi suffered a concussion against Dallas. Okonkwo injured a hamstring against the Eagles.
Inside linebacker Leo Chenal injured his chest against Dallas last week. He has been limited in practice all week and never fully participated. So it's unclear what Chenal can and cannot do. As a result, linebacker Kain Medrano could also see some defensive snaps vs. the Seahawks.
With Luvu out, rookie Sonny Styles will also wear the green dot. Styles handled the duty in last week’s game, and head coach Dan Quinn said this week Styles performed the duties well. Quinn also said Styles is already providing good leadership, despite being a rookie.
