The Washington Commanders (0-2) are back in action on Sunday, when they’ll host the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks (2-0) in their home opener. The Commanders will be without their starting quarterback, Jayden Daniels, who dislocated his left (non-throwing) elbow
in last Sunday’s loss at Dallas. It’s the same elbow that Daniels dislocated last November. Fortunately, Daniels won’t miss much time and is considered ‘week-to-week.’Meanwhile, everything is going right for Seattle. The defending champs get their starting quarterback, Sam Darnold, back after missing last week’s game with a glute injury. The Seahawks initially feared a serious injury in Week 1. Drew Lock played well in Darnold’s absence.
Marcus Mariota will start under
center for the Commanders. It’s his ninth start in three seasons for Washington. In addition to Daniels, the Commanders will also be without right guard Sam Cosmi, linebacker Frankie Luvu, tight end Chig Okonkwo and safety Nick Cross.
