The Washington Commanders revealed their final injury report on Friday ahead of Sunday’s Week 5 game against the New York Giants. Washington started the week with 23 players on the injury report and will rule six out for Week 5.
Wide receivers Terry McLaurin and Stefon Diggs were out on Wednesday and Thursday with hamstring injuries. Diggs did not practice on Friday and will miss Sunday’s game. Meanwhile, McLaurin practiced in limited capacity and is listed as questionable for Sunday.
The good news for the Commanders is that quarterback Jayden Daniels practiced fully all week and will play on Sunday.
Washington will be thin at safety for this weekend, with three players being ruled out. Starter Nick Cross returned Wednesday and practiced fully
before being limited the next two days. He will remain out for Week 5, meaning it's the third straight game missed for Cross.
Here’s the Commanders’ final Week 5 injury report:
Out
S Nick Cross (illness); S Percy Butler (hamstring); WR Stefon Diggs (hamstring); QB Marcus Mariota (knee); DE Charles Omenihu (groin/ankle); S Tyler Owens (hamstring)
Questionable
CB Trey Amos (ankle); WR Terry McLaurin (hamstring); RB Jeremy McNichols (quad); DE Deatrich Wise (quad)
It’s a good sign for Washington that Amos, McNichols and Wise are all questionable. All three had their 21-day IR return window open this week.
