Among the players who were likely to step up with Terry McLaurin out for the season, wide receiver Van Jefferson was not typically mentioned. However, he is the Washington Commanders’ leading receiver against the Los Angeles Rams after a little over a quarter.
Jefferson also has a touchdown against Los Angeles, giving the Commanders a 10-3 lead. They also had a 3-0 lead earlier in this game. Washington is looking to build off the momentum of their 27-10 win against the Philadelphia Eagles last week.

Jefferson started his career with the Rams, who drafted him
in the second round back in 2020. However, after three and a half years, they traded him to the Atlanta Falcons and he has bounced around to different teams since. He spent most of this season on Washington’s practice squad before being elevated to the active roster following McLaurin’s injury. This is his first game with a reception for the Commanders.
