The Washington Commanders were going for a touchdown with three seconds left in the first half. Not only did they fail to get in the end zone, but they lost their quarterback, Jayden Daniels, for the rest of the game. He appeared to injure his left arm, and he was taken off the field on a cart with a sling around that arm.

Daniels tried to hold himself up as he was falling down and his elbow bent in an awkward way.

This is the same elbow Daniels injured last season and missed significant time for. The initial belief is that he has re-dislocated the same elbow, which is a tough blow to the Commanders, who were looking
to rebound from an injury-riddled 2025 season.

Appears to have re-dislocated his left elbow again here after getting his ankle stepped on by his LG.
This is the same elbow his dislocated in 2025 causing him to miss 3 games and then reinjured and missed the final 4 games of the season.

With Daniels clearing out for the rest of the game, Marcus Mariota is playing in the second half for the Commanders. Mariota has won three of the five games he has played against the Cowboys. Daniels finished with 96 passing yards, a passing touchdown, and led the team with 69 rushing yards.
