The Washington Commanders are now 0-2 after falling to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 2 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The first quarter was brutal, with the Cowboys putting up 17 points. The Commanders didn’t seem to have an answer for CeeDee Lamb, and that didn’t change throughout the game. In the second quarter, things started to look up until the last play of the half when Jayden Daniels suffered a nasty elbow injury and was carted off the field. The Cowboys led 17-10 at the half.
In the second half, with Marcus Mariota under center, the Commanders started to look a little more like themselves. Unfortunately, the officials took a touchdown away from the Commanders (for reasons still unknown) and completely changed the momentum of the game.
Combine that with a touchdown reversal in the first half and a missed field goal, and the Commanders simply couldn’t recover.
