The Washington Commanders (1-4-1) face the Philadelphia Eagles (2-5) tonight at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.
The Commanders are coming off a bye week, but it was far from uneventful. Washington added former NFL head coach Steve Wilks to the defensive staff and lost longtime starting defensive tackle Daron Payne for the season on Friday with a foot injury. This follows the Commanders’ Week 6 loss of star wide receiver Terry McLaurin for the season.
The Eagles are also dealing with multiple injuries: quarterback Jalen Hurts is out for the season, and wide receivers DeVonta Smith and Dontayvion Wicks will miss tonight’s game. Philadelphia has lost its last five games after starting 2-0.
