The Washington Commanders are gearing up to face the Indianapolis Colts this Sunday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. It's their fourth international appearance, and the first time they've had international games in back-to-back seasons.
There was hope that starting quarterback Jayden Daniels might return to the field this week. He traveled with the team to London, and he's practiced on a limited basis all week. Unfortunately, he has officially been ruled out for this week's game against the Colts.

It sounds like Week 5, when the Commanders host the New York Giants, is Daniels' new target to return to the field.
In his absence, Marcus Mariota will once again get the
start. And with how he performed against the Seattle Seahawks in Week 3, no one should worry about what he will do on the field against the Colts. The Commanders have struggled in international games, but this matchup offers a real opportunity to change that.
Mariota has served as an excellent backup to Daniels for the last few seasons, and there’s no reason to expect that to change now. He’s a respected, well-liked veteran, and while Daniels will be welcomed back with open arms when he is able, it is always best to make sure his injury is as stable as possible before he returns to the field.
