Lane, the second-year receiver, was rolled up at the end of the play, and his left ankle appeared to twist awkwardly underneath his body.

Lane was evaluated earlier in the contest for a concussion, but was cleared to return to play. But his ankle injury will keep him sidelined for the rest of the game. The injury further depletes the Commanders’ wide receiver room, which was already without
veteran Terry McLaurin due to a hamstring injury.
While Lane did not catch a pass before his exit, he returned three kickoffs for 80 yards and two punts for 17 yards.
