One question still looms over the Washington Commanders one week into training camp. Will they sign a veteran wide receiver, specifically Stefon Diggs?
Through three days of training camp, Washington has yet to have a player take hold of the No. 2 receiver spot opposite Terry McLaurin. While several players have flashed and the depth is improved, the Commanders and quarterback Jayden Daniels need someone to consistently prove they can win against every type of coverage.
In a recent chat with Marshall Kramsky of WUSA Channel 9 in Washington, Daniels specifically named one receiver who has stood out in his eyes.
"Truthfully, I think the whole room, honestly," Daniels said when asked to name one receiver. "I commend Trey, Treylon Burks, for what he's
done and the stuff that he's battled throughout his career to get to this point. So, it seems like the guy has a brand new energy about him and stuff."
Daniels then makes sure again to praise the rest of Washington's receivers room.
"Everybody else in the room, man. Like, I don't wanna leave anybody out, but, you know, Trey was just the first person that came to my mind."

That's interesting.
Burks, a 6-foot-2, 225-pound former first-round pick of the Tennessee Titans, has battled injuries throughout his career. Just last week, he suffered foot soreness and missed Day 2 of training camp, but quickly returned on Saturday. Burks and Daniels appear to have a developing rapport.
The Titans cut Burks last season, and Washington signed him. He appeared in several games for the Commanders and is best remembered for his one-handed touchdown catch against the Denver Broncos on Monday Night Football.
While it's uncertain if Burks will live up to being a former first-rounder, it's important to remember that he's still only 26 years old. He must prove he can stay healthy. This is a big year for Burks and his career, but it sounds like he has an important person in his corner.
