This is Owens’ third season with the Commanders after going undrafted coming out of college in 2024. While he barely took any snaps on defense last season, he played on 84 percent of the special teams snaps for Washington last season. He has also been an active part of the special teams during this opener with multiple tackles on returner Britain Covey.

Washington is trailing the Eagles 14-9 after forcing a three-and-out

on Philadelphia’s opening drive of the second half. The Commanders will be looking to get in front with their first drive of the second half.
