The Washington Commanders (2-4-1) face the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, at 1:00 p.m. EDT in Week 8.
Washington looked a little rough at the start of their game against the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday, but they eventually figured it out and managed to win. They can’t afford a slow start like that against the Rams because they won't be able to come back.
The Commanders are 4.5-point underdogs at home entering Sunday’s matchup, according to BetMGM, and while it’s never fun to be an underdog at home, Washington has to prove they are better than that.
Here’s what experts are predicting for Sunday's matchup.
In looking at Pickwatch, experts across the league tend to agree with the specific picks we’ve shared
here. 96% of experts lean toward the Rams coming away with a win, and fans feel the same way, with 93% also predicting a win for Los Angeles.
This game will test the Commanders. Their defensive line has been put through the shredder. The secondary took several weeks to finally start clicking. The ground game is still shaky. The offensive line is touch-and-go. Yet, they managed to defeat the Eagles last week. If the coaching staff is doing its job and ironing out the pre-snap penalty wrinkles, and the defense can keep performing at a high level despite its losses, then the Commanders have a fighting chance.
