This season, the NFL collaborated with Disney to make merchandise for every NFL team featuring a Disney character. It is the first season the NFL and Disney have come together for this kind of a collaboration. The character paired with the Washington Commanders is Hamm, the toy piggy bank from the Toy Story movie franchise.

A brief description was provided of why Hamm was chosen to go with the Commanders, calling it “a tribute to ‘The Hogs.’” Washington officially debuted their mascot, Major Tuddy,
in 2023 who is a hog. But, he is a tribute to the Commanders’ offensive lines in the 1980s and 1990s that were known as “The Hogs.”
Among the teams in the NFC East, Washington is one of two teams that have a character from the Toy Story franchise. The Dallas Cowboys were paired with Woody from the same movie franchise; it is an appropriate pairing given Woody is a cowboy. The New York Giants were paired with Wreck-it-Ralph from the Wreck-it-Ralph movies while the Philadelphia Eagles character is Doctor Doom who is set to become Marvel’s next major villain.
