Washington Commanders rookie kicker Drew Stevens put the first points on the board for Washington’s 2026 season, drilling a 55-yard field goal to cap an eight-play, 27-yard opening drive.
The kick marked a strong start for Stevens, who spent four seasons at Iowa and made a career-high 22 field goals as a senior in 2025. He also converted 13 field-goal attempts from 50-plus yards over his final two seasons with the Hawkeyes.
The 22-year-old undrafted rookie won Washington’s starting job after the Commanders released kicker Jake Moody in August.

Stevens showed terrific range in pre-game workouts, making
multiple kicks of over 60 yards.
