Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Hartman is in his third NFL season—and in all three, he has been on the team’s practice squad. Before going undrafted in the 2024 NFL Draft, Hartman was a star quarterback at Wake Forest and Notre Dame.
Hartman appeared in 60 college games, passing for over 15,000 yards and 134 touchdowns. Hartman has yet to play in an NFL game, but he’s a valued member of Washington’s quarterback room and is close with starting quarterback Jayden Daniels.
This summer, in an interview with the NFL Network, Daniels joked with Mike Garafolo and Brian Baldinger about Hartman’s looks and hair. Daniels said Hartman was “everybody’s favorite player.” When they showed a photo of Hartman on the screen, Daniels called his good friend
“majestic.” The jokes were about Hartman’s looks and popularity with the ladies. Those looks have landed Hartman a prominent commercial.
