One owner hated his team's Week 5 outcome.
Washington majority owner Josh Harris was apparently very unhappy that his Commanders didn’t close out the game with a winning field goal in a 30-27 win over NFC East rival NY Giants. The Commanders were late getting the personnel and the play they wanted, and then quarterback Jayden Daniels inexplicably didn’t throw the ball away to stop the clock. Instead, he tried to run, the clock ran out, and the Commanders’ kicker, Drew Stevens, never got the chance to kick the game-winning 42-yard field goal.
We saw Dan Quinn throw his headset in frustration. We saw right guard Sam Cosmi kick the pylon, yelling about how the game ended. Harris admitted Thursday that he was quite upset and didn’t adapt well to the Commanders
settling for a 27-27 tie with the New York Giants on Sunday.
Speaking at the Economic Club event, Harris said the Commanders consume his family. Tough losses, even miserable ties, yes, can be hard on Harris. He told those at the banquet party it hadn’t been enjoyable to live with him this week.
At the Economic club event, Josh Harris talks about ownership and how it consumes your family. He said, "I want to apologize to my wife for this last week. I'm really sorry. It was a bad week, a bad Sunday.... Look, that stuff stays with you."

Harris apologized to his wife in particular, implying to the audience he hadn’t been a happy camper this week. Harris then said, “It was a bad week, a bad Sunday... Look, that stuff stays with you."
It stuck with me, so how much more would it stick with Harris? How much more would he keep reliving the last play from scrimmage, when the Commanders failed to stop the clock and missed a huge opportunity to kick the game-winner and beat the rival Giants?
Keep in mind, Harris was a college wrestler and has run races for years. He is not only an owner; he is an athlete at heart who also owns the Washington Commanders. And he had much to be unhappy about last Sunday.
