The Washington Commanders revealed their first depth chart of the 2026 season. There were no major surprises, as most of the starting positions were locked up.
First, let’s take a look at the offensive depth chart.
Offense
- QB: Jayden Daniels, Marcus Mariota, Athan Kaliakmanis
- RB: Jacory Croskey-Merritt, Rachaad White, Kaytron Allen
- WR: Terry McLaurin, Dyami Brown
- WR: Stefon Diggs, Jaylin Lane
- WR: Treylon Burks, Antonio Williams, Luke McCaffrey
- TE: Chig Okonkwo, Ben Sinnott
- TE: John Bates, Colson Yankoff
- LT: Brandon Coleman, D.J. Humphries
- LG: Chris Paul, Tanoa Togiai

What stands out most from the offensive depth chart? Burks is WR3, ahead of rookie Antonio Williams. How long will that last? Williams had an impressive summer and will figure into offensive coordinator David Blough’s plans at some point. Burks offers the Commanders a unique combination of size and run-after-catch ability. Luke McCaffrey is behind Burks and Williams, which confirms he was battling for the seventh and final wide receiver spot on the 53-man roster.
Something else to watch: undrafted rookie Tanoa Togiai is the backup at both
guard spots. It still wouldn't be a surprise to see the Commanders make a veteran addition on the interior of the offensive line.
Defense

- OLB: Odafe Oweh, Joshua Josephs

- FS: Jeremy Reaves, Quan Martin, Percy Butler
No surprises here either. Robertson and Sainristil remain the top two cornerbacks, with Trey Amos still sidelined. Reaves is the top free safety, but Martin will see plenty of action, too. The same goes at inside linebacker. Chenal will split time with Styles and Luvu.

Specialists
- K: Drew Stevens
- P: Tress Way
- LS: Tyler Ott
- KR: Luke McCaffrey, Jaylin Lane, Dyami Brown
- PR: Jaylin Lane, Luke McCaffrey, Treylon Burks
McCaffrey and Lane return in their roles, where they were among the best at their respective positions in 2025. Stevens is Washington’s new kicker, having won the job over Jake Moody a couple of weeks into training camp.
