Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has had an outstanding regular-season career. However, the story is different in the postseason: Prescott holds a 2-5 career playoff record. Prescott has never advanced past the NFC Divisional Round in 10 NFL seasons.
The Cowboys’ postseason struggles extend beyond Prescott, as they haven’t reached the NFC Championship Game since 1996. Dallas’ archrival, the Washington Commanders, have mostly struggled over the 30 years since the Cowboys last reached the NFC Championship. But in 2024, Washington reached the NFC Championship Game for the first time since 1991 — 33 years.
In that game, Commanders punter Tress Way faked a punt, completing a 23-yard pass to tight end Ben Sinnott. So, Way’s 23 passing yards are
more than Prescott’s in the NFC Championship.
At Washington’s preseason opener on Friday night against the Miami Dolphins, there was a Commanders fan in attendance with a shirt trolling Prescott. Way noticed.
