Just two weeks ago, Commanders Nation was ablaze with fear and anxiety.
Nick Allegretti had returned only for one day before being injured again. Bill Croskey-Merritt pulled up late in practice and missed the next week of practices. K’Lavon Chaisson couldn’t practice, Marcus Mariota missed the last two preseason games with an injured knee, and Jordan Magee injured a shoulder in the preseason and was kept out of practices. Odafe Oweh (calf) was out, and Ben Sinnott had just pulled an oblique, and he was unable to practice.
Two weeks later, Wednesday was the first official injury report for the Commanders. The news was mostly good. Things are definitely trending up for the team’s health. Oweh, Croskey-Merritt, and Chaisson are each now back in practice.
One caveat: all three were listed as “limited”.
Allegretti, Magee, Mariota, Charles Omenihu, and Sinnott are listed as full participants for Wednesday. That’s great news. So the world isn’t going to burn up in twelve years, as we were led to believe a couple of weeks ago.

The panic from the fan base and local media that quickly settled over the area was perhaps most due to the 2025 season itself. When injuries began to pile up in training camp, we all thought of 2025: missed games by starters, the plummeting of the team’s health, and the resulting slide to 5-12.
Head Coach Dan Quinn, on Wednesday, didn’t want to talk much about injuries. He said everyone was practicing, but cautioned that not everyone was practicing at the same level, which would mean the same intensity or practice duration.
The Commanders will travel to face the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, September 13. Kickoff is set for 4:25 PM, and FOX will televise the game.
