The Washington Commanders should be sitting at 2-3 going into their Monday night game against the San Francisco 49ers. Instead, they are 1-3-1 after their tie with the New York Giants, thanks to the worst time management in the NFL in quite some time.
Many people could be blamed for how that game went. Head coach Dan Quinn decided to run another play before attempting the field goal, and quarterback Jayden Daniels decided to run the ball on the final play. Offensive coordinator David Blough called the play. However, instead of playing the blame game, left tackle Brandon Coleman said the entire team is taking responsibility for the tie and looking forward to their game against San Francisco.
“It’s nobody’s fault. It’s on all of us. It could have
been on one of us o-linemen or me, going up and reminding people of the situation. It’s on nobody but the team, and we’re going to learn from it and move on and get ready for the next game,” Coleman said. “Motivated, feel united. I mean, we’re still one team. We’re still here to win the next week, preparing.”

Especially after how their game against the Giants ended, an upset over the 49ers could help Washington turn their season around; the 49ers are one of three undefeated teams left in the league entering Week 6. They will have quite the challenge against San Francisco as their defense has only given up eight touchdowns all season - five passing touchdowns and three rushing touchdowns.
