The Washington Commanders looked on the verge of pulling off the biggest upset of the season so far, and linebacker Kain Medrano’s pick-six got Washington one step closer to a 33-24 lead after a missed extra point.

This was Medrano’s 12th game in his NFL career; prior to this game, he had never had an interception. However, Seattle quickly responded with a touchdown to make it a two-point game again at 33-31. Washington’s offense faced a third-and-7 near midfield with 1:36 remaining, and Marcus Mariota ran for nine yards to seal the win, the Commanders’ first
of the season.
Medrano was playing in place of the injured Leo Chenal, who was carted off in the first half with a neck injury.
