The Washington Commanders were back on the practice field on Thursday. And good news: everyone practiced.
However, Washington added a new name to the injury report on Thursday: defensive tackle Daron Payne. Payne practiced but was listed as a limited participant. He went through position drills with his teammates and appeared fine. Payne did miss some time in training camp with an undisclosed injury.
In total, four players were limited on Thursday: Edge rushers Odafe Oweh and K’Lavon Chaisson, running back Jacory Croskey-Merritt, and Payne. Croskey-Merritt also missed some time in training camp. Fellow defensive tackle Javon Kinlaw was also added to Thursday’s injury report with a back injury, but he participated fully.
Here’s Washington’s full

Head coach Dan Quinn seemed optimistic earlier this week that everyone would play in Sunday’s Week 1 game against Philadelphia. It will be worth watching if the players who were limited on Thursday can be a full go on Friday.
