One Washington Commander has guaranteed a victory against the Philadelphia Eagles.
Sunday night, the Commanders host the Philadelphia Eagles at Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland, and one Washington player is publicly saying this Commanders team needs to step up, now!
Cornerback Amik Robertson was with Washington TV 7 News sports anchor Scott Abraham on Wednesday. He guaranteed a victory, but not in the braggadocio manner you typically see a modern professional athlete declare his team will win. Robertson didn’t act like the Commanders are so much better than the Eagles. No, he wasn’t acting like this would be an easy game either.
Robertson, who signed a two-year free-agent contract with the Commanders in March, spoke with absolute urgency.
He publicly declared that the Commanders have to correct their mistakes, get out on the field Sunday night, and get the job done.
The Guarantee!

DB Amik Robertson says the Commanders will win this game on Sunday night against the Eagles.
Amik said, "we definitely need to win this game and we will."
I then asked "sounds like a guarantee?"
Amik responded, "it has to be." pic.twitter.com/5nhQN4U7A7
“We definitely need to win this game and we will,” expressed Robertson. “We gotta be detailed, we gotta practice hard, focus on all the little things, and stop making repeated mistakes.”
Speaking of the defense in particular, the Washington corner declared, “We gotta execute at a high level; everybody around the ball and you know, blow them out of the water. We’ve had six weeks, or how many weeks we have had, to get all those mistakes out. It’s really no excuses. That goes for myself, that goes for everybody. Offense, defense. We’re trying to execute at a high level and play complementary football.”
Robertson, leads the Commanders defense this season with eight passes defended and is tied for second behind Sonny Styles, with 40 combined tackles (28 solo, 12 assisted). He has also forced a fumble and started each of Washington’s first six games.
Sunday night’s game will be the second meeting of the 2026 season for the NFC East rivals. They opened up the 2026 season September 13, in Philadelphia, and the Commanders came up short, failing on a last-minute two-point conversion attempt for a final losing score of 24-22.
