Former Texas A&M wide receiver KC Concepcion reached a major milestone Sunday, scoring his first career NFL touchdown on an explosive 64-yard reception during the Cleveland Browns' matchup against the New Orleans Saints.
With Cleveland trailing 9-6 midway through the fourth quarter, quarterback Shedeur Sanders connected with Concepcion on a deep pass downfield. The rookie receiver got behind the Saints' secondary, hauled in the pass and raced into the end zone to give the Browns a 13-9 lead with 5:21 remaining.
The touchdown was particularly impressive considering Concepcion had briefly exited the game with an apparent leg injury late in the third quarter. After receiving attention from trainers, he returned to the field and delivered Cleveland's
biggest offensive play of the afternoon.
According to NFL Next Gen Stats, Concepcion covered 102.3 total yards on the 64-yard touchdown play and reached a top speed of 19.88 mph, showcasing the explosiveness that made him a dangerous offensive weapon in college.
