Texas A&M baseball placed four players on D1Baseball’s updated rankings of the top college prospects for the 2027 and 2028 MLB Drafts.
Nico Partida leads the Aggies at No. 3 on the 2028 list, while Jorian Wilson ranks No. 17 and Oklahoma transfer Alec Blair comes in at No. 51. Clemson transfer Nate Savoie is ranked No. 38 among college prospects eligible for the 2027 draft.
Partida and Wilson established themselves as two of A&M’s most important returning players during their freshman seasons. Partida hit .306 with 12 home runs, 43 RBIs and 45 runs scored while earning first-team Freshman All-America and Freshman All-SEC honors.
Wilson also earned a spot on the Freshman All-SEC team after hitting .283 with 12 home runs and 32 RBIs. He was especially
productive against conference opponents, posting a .333 batting average with seven home runs and 20 RBIs during SEC play.
Savoie gives Michael Earley another proven hitter in the middle of the lineup. He hit .329 with 16 home runs, 13 doubles and 52 RBIs at Clemson last season before transferring to Texas A&M. The Aggies plan to give him opportunities behind the plate after he split time between catcher and the outfield during his previous stops.
Blair joins A&M after helping Oklahoma win the national championship. The 6-foot-6 outfielder hit .247 with four doubles, two home runs and 18 RBIs as a freshman. His production was inconsistent, but his size, athleticism and previous status as a highly regarded draft prospect give him plenty of room to develop.
Having four players included in D1Baseball’s rankings gives A&M another indication of the talent on its rebuilt roster. The challenge for Earley will be turning that individual potential into a lineup capable of competing near the top of the SEC.
