Kyndal Stowers has already established herself as one of the best players in Texas A&M volleyball history, and she added another program record to her résumé Sunday afternoon.
Stowers recorded 21 kills, a career-high five service aces and one block during the Aggies’ sweep of Mississippi State at Reed Arena. Those contributions gave her 26.5 points, breaking Texas A&M’s program record for points in a three-set match.
The senior helped A&M erase a late deficit in the opening set. Mississippi State led 18-15 before the Aggies closed the frame on a 10-4 run, with Stowers delivering the kill that secured the 25-22 victory. She remained the offense's center as Texas A&M took the second set and then fought through a close third. The Bulldogs pushed
the Aggies beyond 25 points in the final frame, but A&M completed the sweepwith a 28-26 win.
Sunday’s performance gave Stowers her second program record of the young season. She recorded 34.5 points against Indiana in September, setting the Texas A&M rally-scoring-era record for points in a five-set match. That performance included 29 kills, five blocks and two aces.
Her latest record came during one of Texas A&M’s strongest stretches of the season. The Aggies have won six consecutive matches, swept four straight opponents and improved to 3-0 in SEC play. They also recorded a season-high eight aces against Mississippi State, with Stowers accounting for five.
Stowers earned AVCA Second-Team All-America and First-Team All-SEC honors last season before being named the Most Outstanding Player of Texas A&M’s national championship run. She entered 2026 as the Aggies’ most accomplished returning attacker and has continued adding to that resume.
Texas A&M will return to action Wednesday when it travels to Oklahoma for its first SEC road match.
