By far the most important stretch of injury reports of the season for the Cincinnati Bengals has started in earnest ahead of the team's Week 5 game against the Miami Dolphins.
As expected, wideouts Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins are the headliners.
On the first injury report of the week, the Bengals listed Chase and Higgins as DNP.
Chase is out with a concussion, while the Bengals are listing Higgins as a groin/neck combo.
There are other big notes, too. The injury-ravaged safety position has Bryan Cook as a DNP. Same for Kyle Dugger, which isn’t a surprise, as Bengals head coach Zac Taylor had hinted this week that he’s now a week-to-week classification.
Rookie wideout Colbie Young was unexpected good news from Taylor this week and his unexpected quick
comeback has him “limited” on the first injury report.
We’ll see how the Bengals injury report shifts over the final two days of the week and it’s the final report that matters most, but this is a rough start for a concerning topic before the game in Miami ahead of a Week 6 bye.
