Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is one of the more interesting injury question marks of Week 5.
Higgins suffered an injury at the very end of a Week 4 loss, attempting to get back on the field for just a single play before getting shut down.
Now, coach comments and interesting injury report designations have floated around Higgins all week before his team plays the Miami Dolphins.
Here’s the latest on Higgins before kickoff.
Tee Higgins injury updates
- The Bengals have declared Tee Higgins questionable for Sunday's Week 5 game against the Miami Dolphins. He was elevated to a full participant on Friday, though.
- The Bengals listed Higgins as a “DNP” during the first two practices of the week.
Will Tee Higgins play vs. Dolphins?
The full participation on Friday is more important than the "questionable" tag (since “probable” doesn’t exist anymore). So is the fact the Bengals didn’t elevate a wide receiver from the practice squad.
That said, Higgins listed with a neck/groin injury designation makes him tricky to project. He might be active,
but he also might only play a handful of snaps.
If rookie Colbie Young is all the way back from his own injury, he might take most of the big-body wideout snaps in Joe Burrow’s offense. Ja’Marr Chase should be back from his concussion and they also have Dohnte Meyers and Mitch Tinsley to work into the base offense as needed.
