Before a showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals in Week 7, it’s not just Trey Hendrickson saying weird stuff.
The usual suspects have plenty of things to say before the pivotal AFC North battle. And that includes Ravens cornerback Marlon Humphrey.
Humphrey, infamous for past public comments like his getting cooked by Ja’Marr Chase and others, had another weird one this week.
According to The Athletic’s Jeff Zrebiec, Humphrey dropped this: “It would be cool if I didn’t match up with him so much.”
That’s the highlight that went viral, though Humphrey’s comments weren’t overall that outlandish. They included this: “There will be plays made, I think the biggest thing going into this matchup is to try to win more than they win and try to limit the explosives.
That’s the biggest thing when you’re guarding those Top 10, Top 5 guys.”
Humphrey is justified in how he feels, though. He’s got more reps against Chase than almost anyone. And Chase has trounced the Ravens for 77 receptions for 1,245 yards and eight scores in eight regular season games against Humphrey’s Ravens so far.
