Cincinnati Bengals fans have known for some time now that the offensive line in front of Joe Burrow is really good.
This year, the Bengals returned the same starting five as last season for the first time in the Burrow era. That doesn’t happen with a bad unit. Amarius Mims even looks like an All-Pro right now.
Alas, national narratives have been slow to catch up. In fact, fans could find plenty of analysis before the season that the Bengals’ offensive line is a question mark.
One guy not questioning that? Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio ahead of the teams meeting in Week 2.
“There’s a bunch of narratives out there that are really false…It’s a good, solid group,” Caserio said. “Whatever people think—maybe I’m watching different film—overall,
it’s a pretty solid group.”

People in the know, like opposing general managers and coaches, at least, know the Bengals bring a solid starting five on offense each week.
In a way, this sort of mirrors discourse about Burrow himself. While fans and analysts rank him against other quarterbacks in the NFL, those involved with the game hold him in high regard, too.
