Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow became a minor injury talking point this week after taking it easy early in the Week 2 preparation process.
Burrow eventually ramped up to normal work by the end of the week and Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said he would be good to go for Week 2 against the Houston Texans.
Still, NFL rules required the Bengals to put Burrow on the injury report.
Here’s the latest on Burrow.
Joe Burrow injury updates
- The Bengals put Joe Burrow as “questionable” on the final injury report
- Joe Burrow ramped up on Thursday.
- Joe Burrow didn’t work full on Wednesday
Will Joe Burrow play vs. Texans?
Barring a shocker, yes. The Bengals did elevate Josh Johnson from the practice squad to the active roster on Saturday to have a third quarterback ready to go behind Joe Flacco. But that, just like listing Burrow as questionable (teams don’t use “probable” anymore) was a mere formality. Unless there’s an unexpected development, Burrow should
be out there as usual.
