Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Burrow is one of the best at what he does on the planet.
The where he ranks amongst his peers, though, often comes up in debate.
In a new poll from The Athletic’s Jeff Howe, Burrow finishes third in the MVP outlook race behind Josh Allen of the Buffalo Bills and Matthew Stafford of the Los Angeles Rams.
“Allen (2022) and Mahomes (2023, 2024) have now won this vote twice, though neither has taken it in a year when they’ve also won the real MVP,” Howe wrote. “Burrow claimed this vote’s top honor last year.”
The poll, which grabbed the opinions of 20 random general managers, executives and coaches from around the NFL, also saw Burrow receive six votes as one of the best three quarterbacks in the NFL right now. Allen,
Stafford and Patrick Mahomes outpaced him with double-digit votes.
It’s a small sample size, but another data point that illustrates how the NFL feels about Burrow right now. He’s still in the top-three conversation, but staying on the field is a must.
And considering Burrow led all MVP voters last year, the staying on the field thing could lead to big things, too.
