Another day, another alarmist take about the future of Joe Burrow with the Cincinnati Bengals.
This latest hyperbole came hours before the Bengals kicked off the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The culprit? Former NFL pro Russell Wilson on CBS Sports.
"If it doesn't go well in Cincinnati this year…Joe Burrow is gone,” Wilson said. “I think he wants to leave, and what’s going to be interesting is, where does he go?”

Burrow went out of his way to stress that he’s staying with the Bengals for the long haul. But as we cautioned at the time, that won’t stop takes like these from popping up.
There will be more heat on the Bengals than
ever if this season doesn’t go well. But it will mean scorching hot seats for the coaching staff, not a possible Burrow departure, after everyone saw the front office evolve to match the times.
And, as always, for Bengals fans, this is the speculation that comes with the territory of having perhaps the best quarterback in the NFL, so in an odd way, enjoy it.
