Cincinnati Bengals star wideout Ja’Marr Chase has injury questions chasing him into his team’s Week 5 game against the Miami Dolphins.
Chase suffered a concussion during the Week 4 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars, putting him in concussion protocol all week. His practice usage and status on the injury report became major points to watch.
Here’s the latest on Chase before kickoff.
Ja’Marr Chase injury updates
- The Bengals listed Ja’Marr Chase as questionable on the final injury report.
- The Bengals upgraded Ja’Marr Chase to a full participant during the last practice of the week.
- The day after the game, Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said that Chase is day-to-day while in concussion protocol.
Will Ja’Marr Chase play vs. Dolphins?
As of this writing, Chase hadn’t officially been cleared from concussion protocol, it seems. But the fact he was a FP on Friday and the Bengals didn’t elevate a receiver from the practice squad hints that he’ll go.
Whether that means a full snap count is hard to say. But Tee Higgins is also battling an injury. Colbie Young is possibly back from an injury of his own, at least.
If the starters can’t play big reps, Young could get most of the work with Dohnte Meyers, with Mitch Tinsley in there, too.
