Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow had a small injury scare on Wednesday.
Really, it was blown out of proportion because of the order of events. Onlookers didn't see Burrow throwing much during practice and hours passed before everyone finally got to know what was going on with the star quarterback.
A day later and after Burrow said it was simple back soreness/tightness, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport raised a concern: The situation could have a big impact on the field.
“But you do wonder, how much does this affect just being on the same page with Ja’Marr Chase? With Tee Higgins? If he’s not going to throw much, if he’s not going to practice much, then we’ll see where they’re at execution-wise on gameday.”

Overall, Burrow’s small back issue isn’t a threat to cost him any real playing time. But this concern is fair enough, considering the slow starts for the offense in recent years.
During the season-opening win over Tampa Bay, Burrow threw for 254 yards on a 25-of-35 line with one score and pick, the interception going back for a touchdown.
Now, there’s possibly a minor setback threatening to, if nothing else, limit some of the momentum established in Week 1.
